In early August, 1994, my wife, then 31 years old, was diagnosed
with a very aggressive from of cancer. I called Libby to describe the
situation Susan and I were facing. I asked her to pursue whatever means she
could to sell the home we'd had to leave behind and rent when I received a job
transfer. Just before Christmas, on December 20, we were told Susan was
incurable, and had no more than a month to live. She wanted to spend Christmas
with her family one last time before she died. Susan, our son Jakub and I left
for Tennessee on December 23.
Libby contacted me by phone on December 24 with the news that
there was a buyer for the home who wanted to close on the following Friday.
During a time of year when most of America is spending too much time
watching a football game, or complaining about eating too much, or reeling from
the effects of too much Christmas cheer, Libby was spending her time making
sure that my home actually would sell and close.
What Libby did for me will affect me far more than the time it
took to sell the home. She gave caring support and compassion. She pursues
the needs of people professionally, personally and honestly. Any other real
estate professional has a hard act to follow.
